Montague Parks & Recreation Youth Programs

Montague Parks & Recreation Youth Programs includes Squirt Soccer, PeeWee Travel Team, Junior Travel Team, Senior Travel Team, Youth Basketball Program, Montague Bluefish Swim Team, Babysitting Course, and Open Swim. Squirt Soccer is offered on Saturdays from 10:00am-11:00am and requires shinguards, with no cleats. PeeWee Travel Team, Junior Travel Team, and Senior Travel Team have Saturday morning games, and their practices and home games are part of the program offerings.

Programs

• Squirt Soccer — Ages 4-6 · Saturdays, 10:00am-11:00am · $45–$55 · Non-residents may contact MPRD starting August 31 for available spots (not guaranteed). Shinguards are required; no cleats.
• PeeWee Travel Team — Grades 1 & 2 · Games Saturday mornings; practices & home games at Highland Park in Millers Falls · $60–$70 · Co-ed. Games will be 5 v 5. Enrollment minimum per team: 7; maximum: 10. Shinguards are required; soccer cleats are encouraged.
• Junior Travel Team — Grades 3 & 4 · Games Saturday mornings; practices & home games at Highland Park in Millers Falls · $65–$75 · Co-ed. Games will be 7 v 7. Enrollment minimum per team: 9; maximum: 14. Shinguards are required; soccer cleats are encouraged.
• Senior Travel Team — Grades 5 & 6 · Games Saturday mornings; practices & home games at Highland Park in Millers Falls · $70–$80 · Co-ed. Games will be 7 v 7. Enrollment minimum per team: 9; maximum: 14. Shinguards are required; soccer cleats are encouraged.
• Youth Basketball Program — See you in December of 2026!
• Montague Bluefish Swim Team — Youth members of all ages and abilities · Committed to providing an enjoyable and challenging swimming experience in an environment that encourages positive social interaction, emotional growth and skill development.
• Babysitting Course — Ages 11-15 · Monday, March 2 & Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 5:30pm-7:00pm · $40–$45 · This is one class, two nights.
• Open Swim — Youth · Tuesday & Friday evenings, Family Swim 6:30p-7:30p; Adult Lap Swim 7:30p-8:30p · $3.50–$5.50 per session · Youths under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Non-swimmers must wear a USCG Certified life jacket.

Jon Dobosz, CPRP, CPO is the Director of Parks & Recreation, and Jen Peterson is the Clerk / Bookkeeper. MPRD is a member of the National Recreation & Parks Association, Massachusetts Recreation & Parks Association, New England Parks Association, and Pioneer Valley Parks & Recreation Association.
