Bonnie Lea Farm Summer Program

Bonnie Lea Farm Summer Programs includes Summer Horse Programs for ages 6 and up, a Trail Program, a Lease Week, a Horsemanship & Showmanship Intensive, a Summer Lesson Schedule, and a Pony Ride for ages 4 and up. The listed activities include daily riding lessons, trail riding, horse show preparation and performance, weekly lessons, and a 20-minute pony ride.

Programs

• Summer Horse Programs — 6 years and up · Monday-Friday, 9AM-2PM · $895 per week · June 29-July 3 Beginner & Advanced Beginner Week; daily riding lessons Monday-Thursday. July 4th Parade optional day.
• Trail Program — Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM · $895 per week · July 6-10. For students able to tack up and mount, walk, trot and canter independently at a minimum. Approval from coach needed.
• Lease Week — $795 per week · July 13-17. For returning students and new BLF riders with approval from Coach Lisa. Must be able to groom, tack, walk, trot and canter independently.
• Horsemanship & Showmanship Intensive — Wednesday-Friday · $600 per session · July 22-24. Advanced, three day program focused on horse show preparation and performance. Prior approval needed from Coach Lisa, limited space. No show experience required.
• Summer Lesson Schedule — Options include weekly lessons throughout the summer or a set of lessons such as 4 times per week for two weeks.

About the provider

Lisa DeMayo is the primary instructor and owner. She is a United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Certified Trainer and has been licensed to teach riding in Massachusetts for over 30 years. Bonnie Lea Farm says that for over 40 years, kids have grown up at BLF, and its summer experiences include immersion in the care and nurturing of the horses that depend on them for survival.

• Pony Ride — 4 and up · $75 · 20 minutes.

Safety comes first. Lessons and summer programs must be scheduled in advance. The number of students per session is limited. Students will not be allowed to ride without helmets and proper gear. Riding lessons are usually 3 to 5 riders. Multiple missed lessons may forfeit a lesson spot. Unused weekly lessons in a prepaid monthly package may not be carried to the following month. For summer programs, limited capacity means spaces are not held without a deposit.
