Camp Shoresh

Camp Shoresh is described as a Jewish day camp with an overnight feel. Its fun-loving approach to Jewish education comes alive during the summer months at Camp Shoresh and gives children of all ages and interests a place to thrive.

Camp Shoresh is part of Shoresh programming that offers youth and teen divisions for elementary-aged children, middle schoolers, and older teens, as well as adult programming described as a Jewish experience for mind, body, and soul. The mission of Shoresh is “Making Judaism flourish for families across Maryland, Virginia and beyond,” with summer camp, year-round programming, and special events for children, teens, and adults that plant the seeds of a meaningful Jewish identity. Shoresh Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization. One parent described Shoresh as “a lifeline” and said that without Shoresh they “would not have our roots fastened as tightly to who we are,” while another mentioned enjoying an “incredible and awesome Yom Tov,” noting the food, spacious campground, and country air.
