About
Antietam Recreation Summer Day Camp includes swimming, kayaking, water activities, field sports, performing arts, adventure games, and dinner shows. The camp uses a variety of on-site features such as a pool, tennis court, fields and pasture, a horse barn, a carousel ride, a burma bridge, a boatslide, rope swings, a barge, a badminton court, a volleyball court, horseshoes pits, a four square area, a cable ride, and the Falconhurst tree house.

Antietam Recreation Summer Day Camp is a family owned and operated business that opened as a summer day camp in 1977. The founders are Bob Rotz and Mary Overington, who both completed graduate work at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1975, earning a Master Degree and Master Equivalency in Physical Education and Recreation. Bob taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in the Waynesboro School District and retired from teaching in 1985, and Mary taught health and physical education at East Jr. High School from 1971 until 1981 and played for the Mid East USA Field Hockey Team for a number of years. The camp added a junior camp for 5 and 6 year olds in 2009 and expanded in 2012 to include two weeks of Adventure camp for age 14.
