St. Paul’s Pre and Lower School is part of The St. Paul’s Schools, a family of independent schools in Baltimore County, Maryland, serving children from infancy through grade 12, sharing an Episcopal tradition and a focus on developing confident, well-balanced students who will use their education and ethics to improve the world. It is a coeducational, independent day school serving children from 6 weeks through grade 4 in two buildings on the Brooklandville campus, with expert faculty providing enriching, hands-on learning experiences. The St. Paul’s Schools share a 130-acre campus, including a 120-acre wooded campus used as a classroom and living laboratory, and a lower school immersive science and innovation center that combines a 21st-century makerspace with a community garden.

The Experience+ Program takes learning beyond the curriculum and campus, and global travel opportunities are available for middle and upper school students. The two-year SPIRITUS Scholars exploratory program is offered for juniors and seniors with a faculty advisor and an off-campus mentor. A famed tradition of singing is established in the lower school and continues through the upper schools, and preschool has a focus on a positive and nurturing setting with child-led exploration.

Throughout the year, lower school students, faculty, and staff assemble non-perishable meals, snack packs, and weekend bags for children identified as food insecure, and these are donated to Baltimore Hunger Project. At St. Paul’s School for Boys, there is a middle school mentor program, and Varsity Football Head Coach Neil Keenan has been named MIAA Coach of the Year. Across The St. Paul’s Schools, 64% of faculty have advanced degrees.
