Chesapeake Arts Center Programs

Chesapeake Arts Center Programs includes Discovery: Early Childhood Music Classes, where students sing, play instruments, move, and improvise. It also includes Mini Makers | Pre-K Arts Classes, a process art education program, and Performing Arts Programs in dance, theatre, and music.

Programs

• Discovery: Early Childhood Music Classes — Grades 1-2 · Wednesdays, 4:30-5:15 pm · Students sing, play instruments, move, and improvise. Free program. Only 10 students accepted.
• Mini Makers | Pre-K Arts Classes — Ages 3.5-5 · Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 10 am-1 pm · Process art education program. Students must be potty-trained. Space is limited and students must apply and be accepted. Free program.
• Performing Arts Programs — Educational performing arts programs in dance, theatre, and music. All experience levels are encouraged.

About the provider

The mission of Chesapeake Arts Center Programs is to foster creativity, create connections, and inspire joy by delivering innovative and accessible arts and education programs. The leadership team includes Performing Arts Chair Lauren Lowell and Mini Makers Lead Teacher Lorena Solano. Chesapeake Arts Center partners with regional arts organizations to present music, drama, and dance performances and also hosts special events such as an Open House each spring and Arts in the Park each fall.

The Chesapeake Arts Center follows Anne Arundel County Public Schools emergency closings protocols. Classes or events are cancelled when AACPS closes due to inclement weather.
