YMCA of the Chesapeake Youth Programs offers swim lessons, day camp, youth sports, and group exercise classes. The program is based at the Pauline F. and W. David Robbins Family YMCA and is part of the larger YMCA of the Chesapeake association. Families can also use Stay & Play service for children six weeks to ten years old for up to two hours per day while a parent remains on-site.

The YMCA of the Chesapeake is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with over 35,000 members and provides programs and services to more than 50,000 people every year. Membership privileges include access to all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations, as well as all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country. Membership includes over 300 free land and water group exercise classes. With the help of donors, the YMCA of the Chesapeake offers outreach programs that teach children to swim, prepare children six months to five years old for kindergarten, provide summer enrichment programs to address summer learning loss, mentoring, diabetes prevention programs, cancer support, and more. The Y turns no one away due to inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants.
