About

YMCA of the Chesapeake Youth Programs are part of a founding nonprofit organization that focuses on health, hope, and opportunity for children, teens, and adults. Parents use these programs as a place for their children to stay active, be engaged, and learn positive values, while children and teens play and develop self-confidence in an environment where they feel accepted and supported. Adults in the same organization connect with friends, pursue interests, and learn how to live healthier.

• Price: Reduced rates on swim lessons, day camp, youth sports and more with membership.

The YMCA of the Chesapeake Youth Programs are offered by the YMCA, which is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization. Membership includes unlimited access privileges at all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations, including Elkton, Chestertown, Centreville, Denton, Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge, Salisbury, Pocomoke City, and Chincoteague Island. Y membership also allows access to all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country. Members have access to over 300 free land and water group exercise classes. The organization offers a Stay & Play service for up to two hours per day for children six weeks to ten years old, with a parent required to remain on-site. The YMCA states that it turns no one away due to inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants every year. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together in this organization to volunteer and help strengthen their community.
