The Clinton location of Yong Sung Lee Hapmudo Martial Arts has educated the Washington, DC area for over 37 years and was established in 1983. Hapmudo Martial Arts states that its mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to acquire martial arts knowledge and to develop self discipline and self control, with frequent monitoring of progress, high expectations, continuous home/school training, and a positive learning environment. The mission also states goals related to high levels of morality, wisdom, respect for oneself and others, happiness in everyday life, harmony of mind, body and spirit, good health, and a happy lifestyle. In 2025, Yong Sung Lee Hapmudo Martial Arts received the 2025 Best Martial Arts School award from Business Rate.
