Columbia Gymnastics

Columbia Gymnastics offers recreational gymnastics classes, tumbling classes, preschool classes, competition teams, private lessons, camps, team programs, and other specialized classes. The program includes Preschool Gymnastics, Recreational Gymnastics for Girls, Recreational Gymnastics for Boys, Competitive Team Gymnastics, Homeschool Gymnastics, Private Gymnastics Lessons, Birthday Parties, Preschool Open Gym, and Open Gym.

Columbia Gymnastics was founded in 1998, and ownership of the gym transferred to Dave Curry in June 2021. The mission of Columbia Gymnastics states that it offers recreational gymnastics programs, team programs, camps, birthday parties and other specialized classes to athletes of all ages in Howard County and the surrounding areas, and that the goal of the gym since 1998 has been to create a supportive and fun environment for all athletes. The leadership team includes Dave Curry (Owner & Coach), Adam Smith (Pre-Team & Competitive Boys Program Director), Avion Noel (Team Coach & Preschool Trainer), Brenae Richardson (Recreational Director, Camp Director & Team Coach), Christopher Parker (Team Coach), Dezjanai Tinsley (Office Manager), Drew Parcells (Team Coach), Juliana Hoolihan (Team Director), Kristin Eckart (Team Coach), Mia Rodgers (Rec & Team Coach), and Tatyana Amador (Preschool Program Director & Coach).

One parent review from 2024 describes concerns about a 5th grade and up Monday class teacher, communication about dropping the class, and a refund that was initially indicated but not given, along with criticism of the current office manager and praise for past staff members; the same review also notes that the owner later reached out, apologized, listened to concerns, and offered a way to address the situation.
