About
IBIM Girls offers group mentoring and 1:1 mentoring along with leadership training for girls. The program includes health and fitness programs, business and finance programs, and entrepreneurship programs. Participants also take part in a monthly community service project, discuss the possibilities of a college education, visit local colleges, receive assistance with application submissions, and may receive scholarships if they qualify.
The mission of IBIM Girls is to become responsible, productive and successful members of our community. The program is based in Baltimore, MD and encourages giving back through a monthly community service project and work with community partners. IBIM Girls states that it empowers girls to B.E.L.I.E.V.E (become emerging leaders inspiring excellence and values everyday) through group mentoring and leadership training. It supports healthy lifestyles through health and fitness programs and campaigns against violence, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and sexual misbehavior among youth. The program encourages money management and entrepreneurship through business, finance, and entrepreneurship programs, and encourages post graduate education through college discussions, local college visits, application assistance, and scholarships for qualifying participants. IBIM Girls also notes that it gives back to its mentees through its scholarship program.
