About
Fallston Country PreK offers activities such as field trips, presentations, apple farm trips, pumpkin farm trips, Eden Mill exploring tours, Kinetic Youth Academy exercise classes, and local grocery store visits. Children participate in music classes, gym classes, library classes, group instructional time, center time, creating crafts, small group instruction, free play, snack, story, games both indoors and outdoors, and enrichment through literature (pre-reading skills), science, art, and social studies. The program also includes special area classes in music, gym, and library throughout the school year, as well as several field trips and special presenters during the year to support the curriculum and expose students to a variety of experiences.

The 4 Year Old Program offers a 5 Day AM class Monday through Friday from 8:55–11:55, a 3 Day AM class Tuesday through Thursday from 8:45–11:15, and a 3 Day PM class Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00–3:00. The 3 Year Old Program offers 2 Day AM classes Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday from 9:00–11:30, 2 Day PM classes Monday–Tuesday from 12:15–2:45, and a 3 Day PM class Wednesday–Friday from 12:15–2:45. The Parent & Tot Program meets on Wednesdays from 8:45–10:15 and from 10:30–12:00. “Moving on Mondays” enrichment is offered on Mondays from 10:00–12:30 and from 12:00–2:30 beginning in October for currently enrolled students in the 4 year old program only. Class size is approximately 12–15 students in PreK 4 classes, 10–14 children in PreK 3 classes, and 12 children in each Parent Tot class, and each class is taught by a teacher and classroom assistant.
Fallston Country PreK is a state licensed preschool that provides a Maryland state approved curriculum. The program is managed by invested members of the community who form an independent board of directors. The staff is described as experienced, talented, creative, caring, and nurturing, with teachers and assistants who have collaborated for many years and who work together to create a positive and fun classroom environment for preschoolers.
The program’s stated goal is to create a place that engages each child and encourages new-found independence. The school promotes physical well-being, social interactions, fun and learning, and offers a warm and nurturing environment. The program states a firm belief that children need a good foundation on which to build their educational experiences and stresses basic preschool concepts and principles in an atmosphere that is fun and enjoyable for children, with a happy, positive experience focused on the whole child as an individual and every child’s well-being.
