About
Joint Base Andrews Youth Programs offers sports, instructional classes, social programs, before and after school care, and summer day camp programs. Children and teens can take part in activities such as dance, taekwondo, gymnastics, piano, basketball, softball, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, and flag football. Instructional options include Ballet classes, Tap classes, Tumbling Toddlers, Gymnastics classes, Piano lessons (conventional and electronic piano), and Taekwondo martial art classes, and instructional classes are currently held virtually. Programs are held virtually and are advertised on the Joint Base Andrews Youth Programs’ Facebook page.

• Schedule: Business office and school-age care operate Monday–Friday during daytime hours, with separate after-school and summer day camp hours for pre-teens and teens
• Price: The annual membership fee for open recreation is $120 (Jan–Dec) for youth/teens ages 6–18 years, and team sports are offered for a fee based on age and member/non-member status
Joint Base Andrews Youth Programs includes School Age Care, Teen Programs, and Youth Sports. The facility includes five classrooms, a S.T.E.A.M. Center of Innovation (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), two computer labs, a dance studio, a movie theater, concessions, table games, a dedicated space for teens, a lounge, an indoor gymnasium, and an outdoor basketball court. Youth Programs are open year round except on AFDW Pass Days and federal holidays, and all Youth Programs are drug, tobacco, and alcohol-free.
The mission of Joint Base Andrews Youth Programs is to promote youth development life skills, healthy lifestyles, academic success, good character, and leadership through its organizations and Air Force Youth Programs. The program is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) and 4-H and offers a variety of their programs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Parents are encouraged to become involved as volunteers. USDA is listed as an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.
The leadership team includes dance and gymnastics instructor Ms. CJ Hitchcock, piano instructor Ms. Donna Ashby, and taekwondo instructor Master Lynette Love, who is a 1988 gold medalist.
