Calvert Nature Society Programs include Summer Camp, camp information and forms, and a variety of nature-focused activities such as kayak trips, reptile and amphibian programs, phenology programs, outdoor art, campout activities, and webinars. The programs also include special events, homeschool programs, School's Out programs, online programs, Parks For Pollinators activities, and other activities. Calvert Nature Society Programs support environmental programs for schools and groups, public programs, wildlife monitoring projects, and nature center operations.

Calvert Nature Society is dedicated to the protection and preservation of Calvert County’s natural heritage and the creation of an environmentally literate and aware community. The Society is a 501(c)3 organization. The leadership team includes a board with officers such as a president, vice president, and treasurer, as well as directors, emeritus directors, and staff roles including a division chief, senior naturalist, naturalists, office specialist, park managers, and a park supervisor. The board meets once a month to discuss strategy, project updates, and opportunities for growth, and board members participate in fundraising, attend events, and serve as ambassadors for Calvert Nature Society. The organization offers internships for college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates, with options for a paid stipend or volunteer positions, and internship positions are available in spring, summer, and fall. Facilities are open daily from dawn to dusk. Sponsors of Calvert Nature Society receive exclusive benefits and recognition tailored to their contributions. The programs have waivers for kayak trips.
