About
Creative Children's Center offers sensory play, art, social studies, science, engineering, and mathematics activities during its early childhood and school-age programs. The program also runs Camp Creative, which is a summer program that includes a focus on life skills. Child-initiated and teacher-supported play is an essential component of the daily experience at Creative Children's Center.

Creative Children's Center uses a research-proven, MSDE-approved and evaluated curriculum that meets current Early Learning standards in Maryland and meets Kindergarten Readiness Assessment goals. The program is MSDE Accredited and participates in Maryland Excels. Lead Teachers are degreed and credentialed and are required to stay current with ongoing training hours in the Early Childhood Education field, and teachers are required to maintain qualifications and credentialing each year. The program maintains a teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8 for early childhood educational programs and 1:12 for school-age programs, which is lower than the 1:18 public school ratio for school-age children, and reports staff turnover of 20% or lower.
Creative Children's Center began in 1993 as an in-home daycare at Mrs. Linda Bidle’s house in Myersville, Maryland, and later moved into Mount Zion Methodist Church, where it has been serving the community for the last 25 years. The leadership team includes founder Linda Bidle and Brett, who is the president of CCC and has an MBA. The program is locally owned and operated, and the owners and many staff members are Middletown and Myersville natives.
Creative Children's Center states its mission as “Creating future leaders of our society by providing exceptional childcare and educational opportunities for children of all abilities and diverse backgrounds.” Families are encouraged to volunteer and to join the Parent Advisory Board. The program notes that it serves the Myersville community and is locally owned and operated.
Classrooms at Creative Children's Center use interactive boards and other cutting edge technology, and the program lists enhanced security systems with keyless entry and a live streaming camera service in classrooms. Breakfast and snacks are provided and served family-style. One parent, Leveque, reports that their 2-year-old daughter has built a strong vocabulary, sings, paints, scribbles, and shows improved social skills, and also notes that Brett re-evaluates aspects of the center daily, communicates with parents through daily briefings, and that the environment is clean and home-like.
