Creative Children's Center

Creative Children's Center offers infant and toddler care for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months, young learners for ages 18 months to 30 months, early-learning for ages 24 months to 36 months, transitional students for ages 36 months to 48 months, kindergarten readiness students for ages 48 months to 60 months, and school-age students from kindergarten through 5th grade. It also offers before and after school, virtual learning, and Camp Creative. Early childhood educational programs are tailored for each age group, and school-age options include before and after school, virtual learning, and a summer program called Camp Creative.

About the provider

Creative started as an in-home daycare at Mrs. Linda Bidle's house in Myersville, Maryland in 1993. The center later moved to Mount Zion Methodist Church and says it has been serving the community there for the last 25 years. It is MSDE Accredited and Maryland Excels, and lead teachers are degreed and credentialed and must remain current with ongoing training hours in the Early Childhood Education field. Families are encouraged to volunteer and join the Parent Advisory Board.

• Camp Creative

Teacher-to-child ratio is 1:8 for early childhood educational programs and 1:12 for school-age programs. The center says it maintains a 20% or lower staff turnover. It also states that it welcomes all children, families and staff regardless of their primary language.
