Camp St. Charles offers activities such as swimming, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, camping, speedboat rides, tubing, ceramics, team sports, archery, riflery, camp fires, environmental education, high ropes, low ropes, and horseback riding. Camp St. Charles is a catholic, overnight summer camp and retreat center that offers summer adventures to both boys and girls ages 6 to 13 years old. The camp has rustic cabins, a pool, a horseback riding program, and a ropes course. It offers an unplugged program that gets campers outdoors and engaged with each other and provides a place to take a break from cell phones and other electronics. Retreat groups use the center for weekends of peaceful reflection and fellowship.
Camp St. Charles was established in 1952 as a boys' summer camp. The leadership team includes Laura Hall, Camp Director, and Sheri Belisle, Registrar. Camp St. Charles is sponsored by the Society of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians), a Roman Catholic order. The camp’s stated goal is to create an environment which expresses Christian values in how participants treat each other in everyday activities.
