Youth Programs at Lower Shore Family YMCA take place at a branch that includes a fitness center, three gymnasiums, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor filtered pond, a zip line, and Stay & Play. The branch also offers before and after school programs as part of its amenities. Families with membership have access to over 300 free land and water group exercise classes and reduced rates on swim lessons, day camp, youth sports, and more.

The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Membership at this branch includes privileges at all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations, including Elkton, Chestertown, Centreville, Denton, Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge, Salisbury, Pocomoke City, and Chincoteague Island. Y membership also allows access to all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country. The Y turns no one away due to the inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together at the Y to volunteer and help strengthen their community. All branches of the YMCA of the Chesapeake are closed on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with modified hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
