Calvert Nature Society Programs include Summer Camp, Teen & Tweens programs, Homeschool programs, and School's Out programs, along with public programs and environmental programs for schools and groups. Participants can join activities such as Kayak Trips, Reptiles & Amphibians activities, Phenology activities, Outdoor Art, Campout Activities, Parks For Pollinators activities, and wildlife monitoring projects. The program also offers Online Programs and Webinars and supports nature center operations through its activities.

Calvert Nature Society is a 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to support the protection and preservation of Calvert County’s natural heritage and to create an environmentally literate and aware community through outreach initiatives in support of the Calvert County Natural Resources Division. The organization supports the mission of the Calvert County Natural Resources Division and partners with Calvert County Parks & Recreation, Natural Resources Division. Internship opportunities are available for college juniors and seniors and recent graduates, with responsibilities that can include environmental programs for schools and groups, public programs, wildlife monitoring projects, and nature center operations. Structured sponsorship levels are available for businesses and individuals, and sponsors help deliver conservation programs, host community events and educational initiatives, and recognize nature enthusiasts and partners. The leadership team includes board officers, directors, emeritus directors, naturalists, park managers, and other staff such as the Division Chief, Senior Naturalist, Naturalists, Office Specialist, Park Managers, and Park Supervisor, and board members meet once a month, participate in fundraising, attend events, and serve as ambassadors for Calvert Nature Society.
