Calvert Nature Society Youth & Family Programs

Calvert Nature Society Youth & Family Programs is part of Calvert Nature Society, whose mission is to support the protection and preservation of Calvert County’s natural heritage and to support the mission of the Calvert County Natural Resources Division. The Society is a 501(c)3 organization. Its leadership includes a board with officers such as a president, vice president, and treasurer, as well as directors, emeritus directors, and ex officio members, along with staff roles including a division chief, senior naturalist, naturalists, an office specialist, park managers, and a park supervisor. The organization notes that college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates can apply for education internships, which may be paid stipends or volunteer positions, and that its board meets once a month, participates in fundraising, attends events, and serves as ambassadors for Calvert Nature Society.
