Eden Mill Nature Center Summer Camps

Eden Mill Nature Center Summer Camps include hikes, games and activities, arts and crafts, and a canoe trip. Campers meet “a critter or two,” explore the fascinating habitats of wildlife, and investigate life in the wetlands, creek, and trails. They dig into the hidden world beneath their feet to discover wiggly worms, busy bugs, and funky fungi, uncover new habitats, identify, use, and understand plants, explore cycles of nature including seasons, metamorphosis, and energy, cool off from the summer heat with adventures with water, explore the trails at Eden Mill, and learn about animal signs, wild plants, and hiking safety.

Eden Mill Nature Center Summer Camps take place at a site that includes a nature center and a historic grist mill museum, with access to a handicapped accessible canoe launch, over 3 miles of hiking trails, gardens, a pavilion, picnic tables, and grills. The camps are part of programs created and supported by Eden Mill Nature Committee, Inc., a non-profit volunteer run organization founded in 1991 by local community members working with Harford County Parks and Recreation. The organization’s mission is to provide the opportunity for all people to develop a greater appreciation and awareness of the natural and historical resources of the area by encouraging the utilization of the facilities and programs at Eden Mill. Eden Mill Nature Center is a green center and hosts several special events throughout the year to benefit community members and support volunteer efforts.
