Eden Mill Nature Center Programs & Camps offers activities such as Summer Camp-Eco Exploration, Monarchs and Minerals, a Book Club, Beehive Maintenance, and family programs. • Schedule: Park grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk, with facilities open Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm, Saturdays 9:00am–4:30pm, and Sundays April–September 12:00pm–4:30pm; 2-hour canoe excursions on Deer Creek are offered.

Founded in 1991, Eden Mill Nature Committee, Inc. was formed by community leaders and educators, and the mill last operated in 1964 before the county acquired the mill and surrounding acres in 1965. In August 1974, the county hired a company to fix a problem with the dam, and in 1991 a group of community leaders and educators created the Eden Mill Nature Center. The mission of the program is “To provide the opportunity for all people to develop a greater appreciation and awareness of the natural and historical resources of the area by encouraging the utilization of the facilities and programs to be established at Eden Mill.” Eden Mill Nature Committee, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that creates and supports educational and environmental programs and partnerships for surrounding communities, and it is identified as a green center. The organization works with Harford County Parks and Recreation and hosts several special events throughout the year to benefit community members and the volunteer efforts of the Eden Mill Recreation Council. The park includes 118 acres of meadows, forests, wetlands, and open recreational areas, with a nature center, historic grist mill museum, handicapped accessible canoe launch, over 3 miles of hiking trails, gardens, a pavilion, picnic tables, and grills. The program is looking for adult volunteers to help guide the public on 2-hour canoe excursions on Deer Creek, and provides equipment and training for those volunteers.
