YMCA of the Chesapeake Youth Programs include access to over 300 free land and water group exercise classes with a membership. The programs also include a Stay & Play service intended for children six weeks to ten years old, for up to two hours per day, while a parent remains on-site. With membership, participants receive reduced rates on swim lessons, day camp, youth sports, and more.

The YMCA of the Chesapeake is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together at the YMCA of the Chesapeake to volunteer and help strengthen their community. The Y turns no one away due to the inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants every year. A parent must be in the facility or on the premises when using the Stay & Play service and must be able to resume responsibility for the child’s supervision and remain on-site. Y membership includes privileges at all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations and allows access to all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country.
