For over a decade, Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy Programs has worked with kids as young as 4 years old to develop soccer skills in the four key elements of the game. The mission of the Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy (ESYDA) is to offer high-quality soccer programs to lift up local communities and offer youth a bridge to higher education opportunities. All coaches are licensed by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and have United Soccer Coaches Organization diplomas.

The program welcomes kids of every learning style and athletic ability and offers recreational, competitive, and elite programs that focus on fitness, fun, and building self-confidence. It also offers educational and workforce development leadership programs, an Elite Travel Team for ages 17–18 in Gaithersburg or Silver Spring, Technical Training for ages 17–18 in Gaithersburg or Silver Spring, and camps and clinics for all ages in Gaithersburg or Silver Spring. The program follows the trilogy of “Kids-Sports-Peace.”

Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy Programs helps youth in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties through soccer training, college preparation, skills and workforce development programs, and social and economic programs. It offers health fairs, academic enrichment, and community events in collaboration with Montgomery County Council members, district members, and state representatives. ESYDA has partnerships with the Montgomery County Collaboration Council, Manna Food Bank, and CASA to provide extra support services to athletes and families who are in need.

Parent testimonials describe children gaining new soccer skills, increased excitement about playing, and receiving motivation to improve their academics and prepare for middle school, high school, and college. Parents specifically mention the impact of the head coach and thank Coach Fofo for the support their children received.
