About
The Language and Behavior Center offers Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech Therapy, Social Skills Groups, Feeding Therapy, and parent consultations. The program provides in-home ABA and center-based ABA services. Clinicians follow the child’s lead, incorporate learning opportunities into play, and use naturally occurring opportunities for skill development, with treatment built on a foundation of parent involvement and parent training from the start of services.
The Language and Behavior Center was founded in 2017. Rebecca and Dominika founded The Language and Behavior Center with the mission of providing exceptional services to clients while also fostering a unique company culture that is supportive of employees and encourages continuous growth and development. The organization offers developmental support for children and families through comprehensive services individualized to meet each family’s needs and is now serving Maryland, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New England (MA, NH, RI, CT, ME, VT). The team stays up-to-date on developmentally appropriate practices, anti-ableist approaches, and culturally-sensitive care and is committed to offering high-quality services through a comprehensive care approach. The Language and Behavior Center holds the belief that a child’s natural environment is the best place for them to learn and maintains a focus on living-wages, unmatched benefits, and a positive work environment for staff.
The Language and Behavior Center is comprised of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech-Language Pathologists, Registered Behavior Technicians, Occupational Therapists, Certified Sleep Consultants, and Licensed Behavior Specialists. Staff provide evidence-based treatment built on a foundation of parent involvement. The leadership team includes Rebecca Correll, PhD, LBA, BCBA-D (Founder); Dominika Sillery, LBA, BCBA (Founder); Aliza, LBA, BCBA (Clinical Director, DMV Region); Shannis, M.A., BCBA, LBA (Director of Operations, DMV); Erin, MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA (Regional Director, MA Region, Speech Language Pathologist); Melisa, M.Ed., LBS, BCBA (Regional Director, PA Region); and Lexi, M.A., BCBA, LBA (Director of Center-Based Services, DMV). Rebecca Correll holds a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University, a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Finance from the University of South Carolina, and she is an Assistant Professor at Mount Saint Mary’s University. Dominika Sillery received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Aliza received a Master’s in Psychology from Boston University with a focus on Developmental Psychology, completed a certificate program in Behavioral Interventions in Autism from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst since October of 2013. Erin is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of the Holy Cross with a self-designed major “Language Acquisition and Culture,” and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Syracuse University. Melisa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania and earned her degree from St. Francis University. Lexi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park, received a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in 2020, and earned her Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification.
