Worcester County Recreation and Parks Youth Programs offers a range of activities that include Active Start, Archery Tag League, Clinics, Coast Soccer League, Jr. NBA League, Coast Indoor Soccer League, Drop-In Pickleball, Co-Ed Volleyball WINTER League, Coast Volleyball League, Before School Zone, and Early Bird Fitness Winter. Many of these youth programs take place at the Recreation Center in Snow Hill, where the track is open for walking and jogging during hours of operation at no charge, except when special events or scheduled recreation programming close the track to the public.
• Schedule: Programs are offered during Recreation Center hours, which are Monday–Thursday 6:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Friday 6:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The mission of Worcester County Recreation and Parks Youth Programs is to provide a variety of quality recreational programs, pristine parks, and facilities to enrich the lives of citizens. Thirteen parks located throughout the county are open to explore and enjoy all year long. Concussion awareness information is handed out to all staff members, youth participants, parents or guardians, and volunteer coaches for all youth programs, and volunteer coaches and parents or guardians receive a Concussion Training Acknowledgement Form that must be signed for coaching or youth sports participation. The staff is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all participants. Worcester County Recreation and Parks reserves the right to cancel a program or division that does not meet certain requirements, and if an entire program is canceled by staff, all monies are refunded by county check issued to the payer. The track is open for walking and jogging free of charge during hours of operation, and individuals or groups are asked to call ahead to confirm that the track is available.
