About
Red Barn Ranch offers activities that include a high ropes course, ATVs, a swimming pool with water activities, and sport courts and fields. The program also includes street hockey games as part of its regular offerings.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Before school, after school, and on most days when schools are closed
Red Barn Ranch is described as “Red Barn Ranch Powered by KAH, Fueled by FUN,” with the Kids After Hours spirit combined with wide-open spaces and fresh air. The property is described as a camp property to call their own and the heart of all things fun, built with love, hard work, and camp spirit, and the Red Barn Ranch crew is part of the Kids After Hours family. The program offers flexible schedules and full-day camp options, and also hosts parties or events, seasonal events, Camp Chaos, and a Spring Break Skate Camp that visits a new park every day around Maryland.
Red Barn Ranch is guided by the Kids After Hours mission: “We Help Everyone. We Care Always. We have FUN!” After over 35 years of running Kids After Hours camps and child care programs, the founders created Red Barn Ranch as a camp property to call their own. The leadership team includes Bob and Tammy, who founded Red Barn Ranch after running Kids After Hours camps and child care programs for over 35 years, along with Bob Sickels and Max, who is the Event Coordinator and Camp Director.
One caregiver, Judy, shared that her granddaughter has attended for three summers, enjoys the variety of activities compared with more singularly focused camps, and is already looking forward to returning. Another parent, Karen, said this is the best camp their family has attended, that her son chose to be there all summer, and that they signed up for extra weeks because he enjoyed it so much. Emily described Red Barn Ranch as a camp the family feels lucky to have in their community and called it a kid and parent’s dream. Stephanie noted that she appreciates how well run the camp is from sign-in to sign-out, and that her child enjoys the music, counselors, ATVs, street hockey games, and weekly themes when counselors dress up.
