About
Kids Adventures includes activities such as swimming, hiking, sports, games, clubs, projects, and field trips. The program is open during the summer and its summer camp focuses on fun, adventure, and enjoying the great outdoors, with the majority of summer camp time spent outside. Children actively participate in planning and running the school-age program.

• Schedule: Follows the MCPS administrative schedule, with office hours Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Kids Adventures has been making memories since 1997. It was founded by Brian Rindos, who dedicated more than 30 years to serving children and families in Montgomery County. The Kids Adventures Team consists of dedicated teachers, college graduates, college and high school students, and seasoned childcare professionals.
The Kids Adventures Preschool Program and school-age program state a commitment to providing every child with a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where they can thrive as individuals. The program states that childcare should be more than supervision and describes itself as community-centered and relationship-driven, with a focus on children being engaged, active, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. The Team states that it focuses on promoting individual growth, fostering creativity, and encouraging meaningful connections.
The leadership team includes Founder Brian Rindos; Executive Director Shannon Temple; and multiple site and program leaders, including Sheyla Chiquito (Director, Candlewood Elementary School), Andrea Green (Director, Takoma Park Elementary School and School-Age Administrator), Lydia Meres (Director, Wheaton Woods & Weller Road Elementary School), Ryan Green (Director, Piney Branch Elementary School), Laura Vittetoe (Preschool Administrator/Preschool Director at Takoma Park ES), Christina Sullivan (Preschool Director at Wayside ES), Thushari Mannukulasuriya (Shari) (Preschool Director, Wheaton Woods ES), Kim Kasprzak (Accounts Receivable), and Veronica Martin-Carey (Director, Kids Adventures Academy at Takoma Park Elementary School). All enrolled children at Weller Road Elementary School are provided bus transportation to the program located at Wheaton Woods Elementary School.
Founder Brian Rindos served on the Montgomery County Interagency Coordinating Board Committee for Excellence in Child Care and supported several pediatric and adolescent health initiatives.
