Baltimore Tennis Patrons offers tennis, pickleball, VolTBall, and a variety of family-based racquet sports activities. The program includes tennis and pickleball clinics, junior indoor league team tennis, instructional programs, team tennis programs, competitive leagues, and both social and competitive play. Families can take part in family tennis classes and camps, Family Rally Night, Family Tennis Bootcamp, Family Pickleball (indoors and outdoors), Family Team Play (tennis, pickleball, and VolTBall), Family Tournaments, Family Play Offs, and Free Try-Its, along with cardio fit sessions.

• Price: Register by August 15th and save up to $50; on-line application for New JIL Players and Returning JIL Players should be completed with payment in full by August 16th to secure a spot and to save up to $50

Baltimore Tennis Patrons provides beginner and advanced in-school, after-school, and out-of-school tennis instructional and play programs that are supplemented with academic support, life-skill building, nutrition education, and scholarship programs. Programs use the Fast Start, games-based method for learning and development, and all ability levels are welcome, with players grouped by age and ability level. VolTBall, a hybrid version of tennis and badminton, is a new sport created by Baltimore Tennis Patrons’ president, Lynn Morrell.

Baltimore Tennis Patrons is a local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit Maryland corporation founded in 1975 and celebrates more than 50 years of serving, supporting, and growing tennis in Baltimore. Its mission is to promote the lifetime sport of tennis, exercise, and fitness to improve the quality of life for children and families in Greater Baltimore, to provide pathways to recreational and educational opportunities, and to promote life values of health, integrity, self-esteem, and respect for diversity. The specific mission for low-income and other underserved youth is to use tennis to inspire and assist children to stay in school and improve their health, and to support development of education and skills related to safe and healthy decision-making, elevated self-esteem, and multicultural social competencies.

Baltimore Tennis Patrons conducts programs year-round for youth, adults, and seniors and has served more than 100,000 juniors, adults, seniors, and disabled persons of all ages in more than 70 communities across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Carroll County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, and Frederick County. The organization partners with and is supported by groups such as Baltimore County Recreation and Parks, Howard County Recreation and Parks, Baltimore County Public Schools, Baltimore Sports Social Club, Child First Authority, Game On, Holabird Sports, USTA Mid Atlantic, UA House, Living Classrooms, Volo City Foundation, and multiple foundations and local businesses. Families can visit Holabird Sports to find equipment for tennis and pickleball.
