About
Caliday School Age Programs offers a summer camp experience with weekly themes and field trips, as well as a summer sports camp called Camp Caliday. Camp Caliday is described as a summer sports camp where a child transforms into a better athlete and the best version of themselves. The program includes activities that are rooted in relationships with students, parents, and educational leaders, and reinforces educators’ instruction and the high demands of the state curriculum.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm
Caliday School Age Programs was formed in 2009 to support families at Maryland elementary schools requesting before and after school care in a safe, fun, and convenient environment that eliminated transportation. Over time, Caliday expanded to operate inside 45 elementary schools throughout Maryland for before and after school care, and inside 6 Baltimore County elementary schools for summer camp with weekly themes and field trips. In 2022, the team reflected on the past few years and decided to update key aspects of the business to re-focus on the whole child, and in 2024 Caliday became part of Huffman Family Brands, joining its sister brand, Celebree School.
The program is staffed by a team of highly trained professionals. Its stated purpose is to aid students in applying skills learned during the traditional educational day and to reinforce that knowledge using instructional strategies, philanthropic activities that encourage children to be active within their communities, hands-on learning experiences, and digital learning tools. The organization states that every enrollment has an impactful purpose and that it is committed to inspiring children in new, fun, and engaging experiences so they can explore and pursue their passions, while creating safe and trusted spaces to enhance the lives of children, families, team members, and communities.
Caliday operates as a non-profit organization and provides a student-centered educational program while partnering with local charitable organizations. It is creating philanthropic partnerships that benefit communities, and in 2024, Caliday and its sister brand Celebree School raised over $300,000 for charitable organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, the Maryland Food Bank, and the American Red Cross.
