Westminster Soccer Association offers recreational soccer, travel club soccer, academy soccer training, league programs, and a Summer 3v3 small-sided game format with 3 players versus 3 players on the field. Summer 3v3 is played on a small field with small goals and no goalkeeper, which maximizes all players’ touches on the ball. Recreational teams are co-ed, and teams compete either for fun or in competitive leagues including Central Maryland Soccer Association (CMSA) and Eastern Development Program (EDP).
• Ages: 5–18 years old
The Westminster Soccer Association mission statement notes that its recreational soccer programs are for players ages U5–U15 and High School. U5–U8 teams are co-ed for children ages 4 through 7 and follow many of the US Youth Soccer guidelines on player development, with an emphasis on learning skills and having fun. U10–U15 teams are co-ed and organized by the player’s age (Under-10, Under-12, and Under-15), with all teams formed by a draft. The high school program is a co-ed, competitive and fun league for high school students who do not play on their high school soccer team, and games in this program are played against other programs in Carroll County.
WSA offers recreational, travel club, and academy soccer training and league programs for children in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Beginning with the 2026–2027 seasonal year, Westminster Soccer Association will be moving to a school year calendar age grouping method for all programs, including club and recreation. WSA Westminster United club soccer teams are trained by licensed coaches. Players from Westminster Soccer Association graduate to play for local high schools including Westminster, South Carroll, North Carroll, Winters Mill, Liberty, Century, Francis Scott Key, Manchester Valley, Gerstell Academy, Calvert Hall, and more, and players also play in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).
The Westminster Soccer Association is one of the largest soccer organizations in Central Maryland and is described as a leading soccer club in Central Maryland, providing recreational, travel, and club opportunities for young players of all ages and skill levels. The Westminster Soccer Association is a member of Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) and USA Soccer. Westminster Soccer Association is a member of Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) and USA Soccer and serves multiple communities in Carroll County, Baltimore County, and Howard County in Maryland.
WSA spirit wear is available year round and can be shipped directly to a family’s address. Spirit wear options include tees, hoodies, outerwear, bags, and accessories from brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.
