About
Camp Arcadia is a premier girls summer camp in Maine that has been in operation since 1916. The camp runs in an unplugged environment that is free from technology and social media. Campers attend from across the United States and around the world, and many later join an active alumnae community.
• Ages: 7–17 years old
Camp Arcadia’s mission statement is: “Make the world better and more beautiful because you have been in it.” The camp’s director is Louise Fritts Johnson. Its active alumnae community is made up of women from most states and territories and over 30 different countries. One first-generation 14-year-old current camper describes Camp Arcadia as a second home and says that the people she has gotten to know there are life-long friends who are irreplaceable.
