High Velocity Sports opened in December 2001 and is a 110,000 square-foot indoor sports facility. Classes are led by highly trained, energetic coaches, and HVS Volleyball instructional classes are taught by AAU Hurricanes coaches. Lil’ Kickers is an award-winning child development program, and more than one million kids have participated in Lil’ Kickers across the country. High Velocity Sports is a proud member of the United States Indoor Sports Association (USIndoor).

The program’s mission is to inspire kids to be active, strong, confident and well-balanced in order to unleash their awesome both on and off the field, and to use soccer to help children ages 18 months to 9 years tackle important developmental milestones through age-appropriate and fun-filled activities. Lil’ Kickers offers open enrollment so families can join anytime, and a free Lil’ Kickers trial class is offered.

Parent/child classes (Bunnies, Thumpers, Cottontails) allow only one parent or guardian age 18 or older on the field, with the option to swap during breaks. Parents and guardians are not allowed on the field once class has started, except in Bunnies and Cottontails classes under specific rules, and spectating is allowed from an empty field section without a class, based on availability. Lil’ Kickers classes have defined child-to-coach ratios for each level, including Bunnies 15:1 with parents on the field, Thumpers 12:1 with parents on the field, Cottontails 12:1 with parents on the field, Hoppers 7:1, Jackrabbits 7:1, Big Feet 12:1, and Micro Classes 12:1, and Skills Institute classes have a player-to-coach ratio of 8:1. Micro Classes are developmental and non-competitive for intermediate players, with no goalies, no score-keeping, no league standings, and equal playing time for everyone.

Families are asked to arrive on time, and missed classes can be made up during the current session only, with a maximum of three make-up classes per session. At High Velocity Sports, Winter 1 runs Nov. 10–Jan. 17 and Winter 2 runs Jan. 26–Apr. 4, with classes priced at $19 for Lil’ Kickers and $21 for Skills Institute, and at Taylor Sportsplex, Winter runs Nov. 17–Jan. 17 and Winter 2 runs Jan. 26–Apr. 4, with classes priced at $18 for Lil’ Kickers and $20 for Skills Institute.
