About
Borgo Sisters School of Dance offers Dance Camp, a Summer Dance Intensive, a Mini Summer Dance Intensive, a Combination Class that includes ballet, jazz, and basic gymnastics, and performance opportunities in a Winter Show, a Spring Recital, and a summer performance at a Jimmy John’s field baseball game. The Combination Class builds from year to year, and each season includes two performances called the Winter Show and Spring Recital. Students who attend the Summer Dance Intensive may participate in the summer performance at the Jimmy John’s field baseball game.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: The season runs from September to May in two semesters, with the 2025–26 season beginning September 6; Dance Camp for ages 4.5–11 runs June 17–20; the Summer Dance Intensive for ages 12+ and the Mini Summer Dance Intensive for ages 9–11 are held on August 15; the summer performance at Jimmy John’s field baseball game is on August 21 for those who attend the dance intensive.
Borgo Sisters School of Dance is celebrating its 89th year of dance education. The program states a philosophy of a non-competitive environment where all students are made to feel welcome and achieve a sense of accomplishment. All choreography, classroom formats, and music are planned using proven childhood development principles, with consideration given to age-appropriate costuming, subject content, language, and dance moves. Each student is recognized individually and presented with an attendance award and certificate at the end of each season, and students are taught how to graciously accept awards and accolades as well as how to be a polite audience. The program is now enrolling for the 2025–26 season.
