The STEMinista Project invites middle school girls who are curious about the world around them and how things work to be a part of the project. The program takes place within the broader Michigan Science Center experience, which includes live stage shows, an Immersive Dome, a 4D theater, a Planetarium, a special exhibit hall, and more than 220 interactive exhibits that explore various STEM topics.

The STEMinista Project is part of the Michigan Science Center, whose mission is to inspire curious minds of all ages to discover, explore and appreciate science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in a creative, dynamic learning environment. Exhibits, programs and science shows at the center explore various topics in STEM and promote literacy and understanding of the natural world and the built environment. Every standard admission ticket includes general admission and a choice of Theater Show as part of the Explore Package, and ECHO Live! provides science experiments and content each weekday.
The Michigan Science Center has been designated a Smithsonian Affiliate. The STEMinista Project is supported by General Motors, Ford Motor Company, The Zatkoff Family Legacy Fund, and PNC Foundation. ECHO Live! is supported by the Ford Motor Company Fund, DENSO and the Weiser Family, and this activity is supported by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The leadership team for the center includes a President & CEO and directors and managers overseeing impact, experience, engagement, theaters and science partnerships, operations, corporate and foundation relations, education, public programs, floor operations and volunteers, guest experience, outreach programs, events and sales, youth programs, and guest relations.
