The Dexter District Library opened at its current location in 2009 and states its mission as: “As a community gathering place, we inspire literacy, provide engaging programming, facilitate access to information, and promote lifelong learning.” The Library’s youth and teen programs operate alongside other features such as 19 public computer terminals, study rooms that can be reserved in advance by groups, and a silent reading room. The Library is part of an OverDrive Reciprocal Lending Agreement with many other Michigan cooperatives sharing access to Libby collections, including partner libraries such as Bay County Library System and Genesee District Library System.
