Camp Wonder at Howell Nature Center

Camp Wonder at Howell Nature Center offers summer day camp programs with Classic Day Camps and Specialty Day Camps. Classic Day Camps have weekly themes, and Specialty Day Camps follow the same daily schedule as Classic Day Camps. Specialty Day Camps are offered as a five-day option only.

Programs

• Classic Day Camps — Entering Kindergarten through Grades 7-8; Rangers age group is discontinued at this time
• Specialty Day Camps (Five-Day Option Only) — Grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6

At a glance

• Ages: 5–16 years old
• General schedule: Summer day camp programs; Classic Day Camps have weekly themes and Specialty Day Camps follow the same daily schedule as Classic Day Camps. Summer Camp Open House runs from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm.
• Facility hours: Wild Wonders Wildlife Park: open seven days a week, Monday-Sunday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Camp Wonder at Howell Nature Center is licensed by the State of Michigan and accredited by the American Camp Association. Its mission is to provide a fun, adventurous, and enriching summer camp experience and to teach children to be faithful caretakers of one another and the world around us.

Camp Wonder at Howell Nature Center welcomes new and returning summer campers. Tuition Assistance Program applications are reviewed on the first Monday of every month, January-May. No more than one week will be funded for any child.
