Portland Soccer Club is organized as Portland Soccer Club Inc. (PSC) and focuses on soccer within the community. The program promotes, encourages, and improves the standard of soccer at all levels and develops a clear succession between different soccer programs building up to the high school soccer program. It also provides a forum for discussion of issues relevant to the needs of the game, its participants, and fans.
Portland Soccer Club is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its mission includes promoting public and community awareness of soccer through the dissemination of information and coordination of activities between soccer organizations. The organization administers fundraisers to raise and disburse funds for the direct benefit of soccer programs and assists in acquiring material resources and coordinating volunteers for the delivery of services to soccer players. PSC works toward instilling the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and discipline within all Portland soccer programs for the overall betterment of local youth and their development into better citizens.
