• Ages: 1–6 years old
• Schedule: WINTER TWO SEMESTER - JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2026; sessions run every 7 weeks
Kickstart Toddler Soccer began in 2010, founded by a husband and wife team deeply rooted in the Metro Detroit soccer community. The founders designed this program to ignite a passion for soccer in the youngest players. The leadership team and staff bring over 50 years of combined coaching and playing experience. The program describes its earliest age group classes as focusing on developing both physical and mental skills through engaging short activities each week, including activities that enhance motor skills, boost cognitive abilities, and introduce a love for physical activity. As children grow older in the program, they take part in soccer-focused activities that build technical skills, foster teamwork, and introduce the excitement of competition, while still using imaginative games and activities.
Kickstart Toddler Soccer describes itself as Michigan's largest toddler sports program and Michigan's largest soccer organization, with over 1600 players every 7 weeks. It states that it has been Michigan's largest toddler sports program for 15 years running. The program highlights a focus on transforming timid toddlers into confident athletes and notes that sports shape children into young adults with teamwork, humility, discipline, and perseverance. It also states that its coaches are passionate and energetic.
