Akula Taekwondo

Akula Taekwondo offers Kids Taekwondo and Adult Taekwondo. Kids Taekwondo includes basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, and all students must complete an Introductory Lesson before joining group classes. Adult Taekwondo is for beginners and for students continuing with or returning to martial arts.

About the provider

Akula Taekwondo is led by Owner, Founder and Head Instructor Joseph Tegler. The instructors mentioned include Master Joseph Tegler, Mr. Shashwath Adap, Ms. Grace Elling, and Devin Bulinda. The program uses the World Taekwondo system, and its instructors draw on training in Karate, Jiu Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, and Hapkido. Its mission statement says it aims to train for success in life and create a positive and supportive training environment where students build confidence, discipline, self-defense skills, and self-leadership.

Children must be 6 years old or older. No prior experience required; beginners welcomed. All students must come for an Introductory Lesson before joining group classes. Classes are taught with World Taekwondo rules except no kicking to the head. Students should arrive on time; if late, wait quietly at the mat entrance and enter when signaled.
