DanceBARN Youth Camp is a 5-day sleep-away camp where campers take part in dance technique and choreography along with traditional camp activities. The camp schedule includes campfires, lake time, and time for making new friends.

DanceBARN Youth Camp is run by DanceBARN Collective, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Co-Directors Molly Johnston and Ayumi Hori-Shafer lead the program, along with a board that includes Mary Pettit (Board Chairwoman), Michele Anderson (Vice Chairwoman), Reba Gilliand (Treasurer), Julia Everts-Demars (Secretary), and Nicole Reinan (Board member). Molly Johnston is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, screendancer, and co-founder of DanceBARN Collective who earned a BFA from the University of the Arts and an MFA from the University of Oregon and worked as Zenon Dance Company and School's school coordinator. Ayumi Hori-Shafer is an educator, choreographer, dancer, and co-founder of DanceBARN Collective who earned an MFA in Dance at the University of Oregon and a BA in Dance from San Francisco State University and has over 10 years of experience teaching in studios and schools that offer classes for both recreational and professional dancers.

DanceBARN Collective states that it is committed to creating dance opportunities to rural communities and to using dance to bring communities together, solve community issues, and create dance with community members. Its mission is to build community, aspire to create challenging and innovative dance, reinvent dance as collaborative community art, and nurture creative minds and bodies.
