About

The Before and After School Program includes regular homework support, daily fitness activities, and time for reading. Children take part in sports, art, music, crafts, games, and other physical activities. The program also offers snacks and focuses on developing leadership and communication skills through the Classroom Council, with supervised access to computers and tutoring or assistance as needed in a quiet environment for homework and projects.

• Ages: 6–12 years old

The program takes place at Small World Learning Center / Small World Child Care Preschool Learning Center, which is described as a comfortable environment designed to boost confidence, self-esteem, character, and social skills, with a quiet environment for homework and projects. The program is part of a family-owned and operated organization that has been a trusted partner for parents and families for more than two decades and for more than 20 years. Staff include highly trained and licensed teachers, as well as certified and experienced teachers. Programs are inspired by S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), and Small World Learning Center is Parent Aware rated, going above and beyond basic health and safety licensing requirements. The school-age program aligns with school calendars to provide fun and learning during holidays, teacher in-service days, and other school breaks, and transportation is available to and from neighborhood schools. The program uses the Procare Connect app to provide real-time photos, updates, and messages from the teacher, and it offers regular teacher-family communication, including updates to keep parents informed. The program serves fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals and offers financial assistance to qualifying families. The mission of Small World Learning Center is “Teaching children to love their world.” Testimonials describe it as a “Great Daycare Center Experience” where a child is “really challenged with new information and ideas,” and as a “WONDERFUL center” where staff are welcoming and greet families with a friendly smile and hello.
