About

Cloquet Youth Soccer Association offers both recreational soccer programs and competitive soccer programs. The organization is community-based and focuses on youth soccer in the Carlton County area.

• Ages: 8–18 years old

The mission of Cloquet Youth Soccer Association is to offer recreational and competitive soccer programs to the Carlton County area while focusing on positive interactions among players, parents, and officials, with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, self-esteem, and respect for the game. The association is dedicated to educating both players and coaches about the intricacies of soccer and aligns with the values of the Arrowhead Soccer Association (AYSA). It operates in accordance with the rules and guidelines established by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA).

Cloquet Youth Soccer Association is a volunteer-run organization, and teams can only be formed when enough volunteers step forward to coach. No experience or prior soccer knowledge is needed to coach, only the drive to help kids succeed. The leadership team includes Vice President Katie Douglas, Secretary Bobbie Turner, Treasurer Brian Roy (interim), Technology lead Heather Brown (interim), Competitive Coordinators Katie Douglas and Jamie Rostollan, Recreational Coordinators Katie Douglas and Rachel Hanson, Fields Coordinators Bobbie Turner and Dustin Randall, Coaching Development lead Dustin Randall, and Little Net Busters leads Leigh Rahkola and Bobbee Conway, with the President and Equipment Manager roles currently open.

As part of the AYSA soccer Duluth network, the club benefits from game and referee scheduling, public relations support, and administrative assistance, and it is a proud part of the Arrowhead Soccer Association. For updates and information about youth sports in the area, including Cloquet Youth Soccer Association and Cloquet Youth Baseball programs, people are encouraged to visit its Facebook page.
