Bell Summer Camp is a single-day camp where participants explore nature and food through agricultural research, science, art, and games. The camp is hosted as part of Minnesota STEM Stories, a new program facilitated by the Bell Museum, the state of Minnesota's natural history museum.
• Ages: 11–15 years old
• Schedule: Single-day camp on Wednesday, June 26th, from 10 am to 4 pm
• Price: The camp is free and includes snacks and lunch.
Minnesota STEM Stories is facilitated by the Bell Museum, which is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This summer, the Bell Museum is hosting one single-day camp in collaboration with the Northwest Research and Outreach Center in Crookston, Minnesota to explore nature and food through agricultural research, science, art, and games. The Northwest Research and Outreach Center, formerly the Northwest Experiment Station, was founded in 1895. The Northwest Research and Outreach Center provides analytical, biological, and field laboratories for research and demonstrations that focus on agricultural commodities and enterprises important to northwestern Minnesota’s economy and culture, with a goal of helping producers maintain profitability in environmentally sound ways and helping agriculture thrive in the region. The Northwest Research and Outreach Center is one of 10 Research and Outreach Centers within the University of Minnesota’s College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences.
