Heartland Hockey Camp offers ice hockey and roller hockey on a full-sized roller rink, along with tennis, mini-golf, waterfront activities, the Heartland Mile, bonfires, off-ice training, position-specific training, and competitive gameplay. Heartland Hockey Camp was established in 1985 by Steve and Sandy Jensen and has more than four decades of history and traditions. The camp is inspired by the late Steve Jensen, a former US Olympian and NHL player with the Minnesota North Stars and the Los Angeles Kings, who brought experience from the Olympic stage, professional hockey, international competition, coaching, and officiating. Heartland Hockey Camp is now owned and operated by 200X85.
Heartland Hockey Camp states that it is dedicated to providing world class hockey instruction and a wide variety of waterfront activities for hockey players worldwide, while enhancing the spiritual well-being and emotional growth of each individual camper. The campus features two privately owned ice arenas and offers up to six hours of ice time daily, along with cozy rink-side condo lodging in a north-woods setting. A newly constructed off-ice training center provides 4,464 square feet of workout area, and the camp notes a highly regarded 6:1 campers-to-coaches on-ice ratio. Heartland offers four levels of youth hockey camps, a camp for goalies, and a Heartland Hockey Girls Week for girls born in 2006–2016.
