Delano Community Education Youth Enrichment and Recreation offers activities such as softball, track, football, skiing, yoga, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, track and field, strength and conditioning, martial arts, golf, and gymnastics. The program also includes visual arts, music, drama, languages, science and technology, chess, cooking, Driver's Education, Destination Imagination, field trips, and swimming lessons, along with adult swim lessons and coaching, water exercise classes, lap swimming, and water aerobics. Youth programming includes after-school and summer programs, and Tiger Kids Club provides childcare for children ages 3 through 6th grade during the school year and in the summer.

The gymnastics program includes both classes and a Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA) competitive traveling team for more advanced students. Tiger Activity Center is described as Delano’s premier family recreation facility for all ages and can be accessed through an annual membership or a daily pass, and it accepts several insurance fitness reimbursement programs. Delano Community Education describes itself as emphasizing affordability and accessibility and offering big opportunities for a small, tight-knit town, and it offers options for everyone in the family from birth to adulthood.
District 879 facilities, both indoor and outdoor, belong to school district residents, and the district encourages responsible use of these facilities by individuals and groups. The school board has designated Delano Community Education to manage the use of school facilities under board-approved policy and to schedule use of both district and City of Delano fields. Friends of Education Award Recipients are recognized as individuals who have been instrumental in student success and have made Delano Public Schools better. The leadership team includes CE Director Abbey Lang, Community Education Director; Chris Runke, Recreation and Sports Coordinator; Rachel Wallace, Enrichment and School Age Care Coordinator; Becca Seiberlich, Preschool and Childcare Coordinator; Kim Finn, TAC and Facilities Coordinator; and Ben Nolan, TAC Fitness Supervisor.
