AYSA Summer Camps

AYSA Summer Camps offers skills and drills, fun, competitive games, and scrimmages through its Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp and GND Skills Camp. One day each week in the Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp is dedicated to skills and drills where every player works on individual skills, and the other day focuses on fun, competitive games and scrimmages to work on team skills. Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp is for ages 6–8 who are too old for the Little NetBusters program and too young for the Summer League.

The Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp runs on Thursdays and Sundays from May 14 to June 14, excluding May 24 and June 7, with Thursday sessions from 5–6pm and 6–7pm and Sunday sessions from 4–5pm. The GND Skills Camp meets Monday and Tuesday, July 20–21, from 6–7:30pm and is for all skill levels. Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp is capped at 65 players. AYSA sends out a quarterly newsletter in February, April, August, and November with registration information and camp and program dates. The leadership team includes Julien Bratek as Executive Director, Morgan MacLean as Assistant Director, and Darby Henderson as Referee and Programs Coordinator. The program’s mission statement emphasizes diversity, respect for all, opposition to racism and inequality, support for those who speak out against racism, and a request that clubs, teams, players, parents, and coaches foster a welcoming environment and speak out against racist language or behavior.
