AYSA Summer Camps include soccer activities such as skills and drills, fun, competitive games, and scrimmages. The Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp offers soccer sessions for kids who are too old for the Little NetBusters program and too young for the Summer League. The GND Skills Camp focuses on individual soccer skills and learning new skills for players of all skill levels.
• Ages: 6–8 years old
• Schedule: Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp runs for 5 weeks with 8 total sessions; GND Skills Camp meets over two days in the evening.
• Price: Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp cost: $125. GND Skills Camp cost: $60.
Soccer Frenzy Summer Kickoff Camp is capped at 65 players and has one day each week focused on skills and drills and another day focused on fun, competitive games and scrimmages. The entire camp’s stated purpose is to give kids a fun, safe soccer experience in the summer before the Fall League for ages 5–13 begins in August. GND Skills Camp is described as a two-day camp that helps kick off the Fall League season and gives players a chance to work on individual skills and have fun learning new skills.
AYSA’s leadership team includes Julien Bratek as Executive Director, Morgan MacLean as Assistant Director, and Darby Henderson as Referee and Programs Coordinator. AYSA’s sanctioning partner is US Youth Soccer. AYSA offers a quarterly newsletter in February, April, August, and November with registration information and camp and program dates, and notes that Summer Little NetBusters registration, Summer Camps registration, and AYSA College Scholarship applications (due March 31) are available. AYSA states that it believes diversity and respect for all are key strengths of its soccer community, stands against racism and inequality, and asks clubs and teams to foster diversity by offering a welcoming and supportive environment for all players, coaches, officials, and families, regardless of background. AYSA also notes that the Soccer Parenting Resource Center is free for all coaches and parents.
