High Tech Kids K-12 STEM Programs includes activities such as FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FLL Future Edition – CS&AI. The program also offers K-12 STEM programs that include training, tournament opportunities, volunteer coordination, and community outreach.

Since its inception in 1999, High Tech Kids has grown from serving 175 youth to more than 79,400 students across Minnesota with the help of over 3,700 volunteers. High Tech Kids is a Minnesota 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. Its mission is to deliver fun, hands-on STEM programs and events that inspire Minnesota youth to build confidence, create opportunities and thrive as the next generation of innovators. High Tech Kids is a Minnesota nonprofit that collaborates with FIRST as the Minnesota Program Delivery Partner for FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge and FIRST Tech Challenge, and supports all Minnesota teams and volunteers through training, tournament opportunities, volunteer coordination and community outreach. The leadership team includes Paula Beckel, Executive Director; Vicki Coaty, Programs Director; Rebecca Downs, Summer Camp & Video Production Intern; Kris Simonson, FTC Program & Volunteer Coordinator; Katie Stalker, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator; Sarah Steffen, FLL Program Coordinator; and Norm Tiedemann, Special Projects.
