Eden Prairie Football Association Youth Tackle Football offers tackle football along with youth cheer, summer camps, and performance training focused on speed, agility, and functional strength. Expert coaches at Training HAUS deliver personalized, position-specific performance training programs for participants in this program.
• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: Registration is closed for the 2026 season, and each team plays a minimum of 7 games, with a play-off system for teams in grades 6–8. EPFA 2026 Summer Camps registration is open, with dates listed on the linked page.
• Price: The organization prides itself in being a very affordable athletic option, providing all pads and equipment for each participant for a very reasonable registration fee, with no additional association-driven expenses beyond the registration fee. The Eden Prairie Football Association has been organizing and running youth football in Eden Prairie for over 20 years and was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2003. The philosophy of the Eden Prairie Football Association is to create an organized football program for all children that reside full-time in or go to school in Eden Prairie during the fall football season, with a primary purpose of teaching the fundamentals of football, sportsmanship, discipline, and the importance of team play to all participants.
The program has no travel, all-star, or elite teams, and teams at each grade level are formed with an equal distribution of talent through a draft of talent after evaluations in August. Each grade has a Grade Commissioner who manages team selection and in-season issues, and each participant learns to play positions on offense and defense during the season. Each player has a starting position on offense and on defense and is expected to play 50% of the game except for disciplinary reasons, and each grade has a weight limit for running backs so that the heaviest boys cannot carry the ball. The program states that it does not create heroes or failures among participants who are too young to handle either role.
Over 250 kids in grades 3–8, more than 10 teams, over 45 assigned coaching team members, and hundreds of parent volunteers typically take part each season. Over 100 football games are played in a typical season, with over 100 games played on Eden Prairie fields. The board members and coaches are all volunteers, and the organization provides all pads and equipment for each participant. EPFA merchandise is available, and all merchandise is delivered before the first game of the fall season.

The City of Eden Prairie supports the organization by providing game and practice fields free of charge, and EPFA uses a group of local community members to referee all of its home games. EPFA participates in the South West Metro League that includes Eden Prairie, Chaska, Chanhassen, New Prague, and Orono. The association’s website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is owned by and subject to the Eden Prairie Football Association privacy policy.
