Wolf Ridge Youth Experiences and Summer Camps

Wolf Ridge Youth Experiences and Summer Camps offers activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, winter survival, frozen-lake exploration, and birding. The program includes classic sleepaway camp options and multi-week wilderness expeditions led by naturalist guides, with more than 50 classes and experiences available on its 2,000-acre campus. Wolf Ridge hosts over 12,000 visitors annually and provides hands-on, overnight learning experiences that include academic, environmental, and social-emotional components.

Founded in 1971, Wolf Ridge is described as a fully accredited K–12 environmental learning center. Its mission states that Wolf Ridge provides students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to explore and respect the natural world. Wolf Ridge is also launching a statewide outdoor learning initiative to empower Minnesota teachers and administrators, with a goal of reaching more than 18,000 students starting in 2026. The MAC Lodge at Wolf Ridge is described as one of the greenest lodges on the planet, and the program notes that Outdoor School is accessible for all Minnesota students through historic funding.
