Wolf Ridge Youth Experiences and Summer Camps includes activities such as rock climbing, survival training, adventure courses, backpacking, canoeing, paddling, portaging, and hiking. The program offers summer camps that include classic sleepaway camp and multi-week wilderness expeditions, as well as youth wilderness trips.

Founded in 1971, Wolf Ridge Youth Experiences and Summer Camps is part of a broader outdoor school program for K–12 students that also offers family and grandparent camps, drop-in bird banding, adult programming, and a graduate program and teacher training institute. The program’s mission is that Wolf Ridge provides students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to explore and respect the natural world. Wolf Ridge is described as an Outdoor Learning Center of Excellence and features an organic farm on campus, The MAC Lodge at Wolf Ridge described as one of the greenest lodges on the planet, backpacking trips to Isle Royale National Park, and Intro to Canoeing trips in the Boundary Waters. Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center and The Nature Conservancy have permanently protected 928 acres of forests, lakes, streams, and wildlife habitat along Minnesota’s North Shore through a conservation easement, and Wolf Ridge recognizes Upper Lakes Foods, Gaylen Harms & Fortune Financial, and Empire Roofing for their support and partnerships.
