Youth Summer Camp offers aerial arts and creative movement along with strength foundations and collaborative skill-building. Campers work with Hammock/Sling skills as a primary focus and also take part in Acro, Dance, Flexibility, Conditioning, Lyra, Hula Hoop, Juggling, Clowning, Stilts, Silks, and Bungee. Each camp week ends on Friday with popcorn, ice cream, a 30 minute family showcase, and open gym.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions offered June 15–19, June 22–26, July 6–10, July 13–17, July 27–31, and August 10–14, with different weeks designated for ages 6–8, 9–11, and 12+
• Price: Camp registration is $300.
Youth Summer Camp is in its sixth year, described as the sixth annual Youth Summer Camp with the Aviary staff back for their sixth year of youth circus fun. The camp experience is described as refined to better support age-specific growth, skill progression, and confidence-building, with a structured, high-energy environment described as designed to challenge and inspire. The curriculum is described as intentionally evolved each season with new progressions, elevated skill pathways, and fresh creative themes for returning campers, and as a one of a kind experience that is marketed as a new and exciting cross-training activity outside of a child's normal sport. Learning this activity is described as giving children amazing confidence.
Spots are intentionally limited to preserve safety, structure, and quality instruction, and campers share apparatuses at times and are mindfully placed into groups and partners. Older age brackets have access to Silks and Bungee in addition to the primary Hammock/Sling focus and other disciplines. Every year the camps are described as selling out and filling waitlists for most weeks, and if full waitlists remain, the program states it will do its best to add another week of camp and email waitlisters.
All sales are completely final, and no cash back or bank refunds are given. With 4 weeks notice prior to the start of camp, the full registration amount is credited back to a studio account to use toward future camps, and with 25 hours notice prior to the start of camp, half of the registration amount is credited back to a studio account. Within 24 hours of the start of camp, registration credit is forfeited, and studio credit does not expire. Once a camper is enrolled, the program sends a confirmation email along with a secondary registration form.
