Camp Mishawaka is a traditional residential summer camp that offers a technology-free, outdoor camp setting. The camp uses a brother-sister approach, with separate Boys and Girls Camps that each have their own traditions and unique programming while combining elements of co-ed and single-gender camp. It also offers a Counselor In Training program for returning campers who have completed the 10th grade, giving them leadership experience working with younger campers.

Camp Mishawaka offers two, four, six and eight week sessions for boys and girls ages 8 to 15, with each of the Boys and Girls Camps having a capacity of 80 campers per session. Since its founding in 1910, Camp Mishawaka’s motto has been “Safety, Health and Happiness.” Every summer, Camp Mishawaka hires a staff of young men and women to serve as counselors, activity leaders, and trip leaders, including many former campers and many new staff members, all committed to making each camper’s experience fun, memorable, and affirming. Camp Mishawaka, Inc. is described as an exempt organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
One parent shared that a camper’s six years at Camp Mishawaka had a profound impact on her growth and expressed gratitude to those involved in creating, developing, and supporting the space, environment, and program. Another camp parent said their children loved the camp, made great friends, and continued to talk about camp throughout the year. Camp Mishawaka states that its mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of campers that lasts a lifetime by providing a nurturing and safe environment for skill development and social growth.
