Hermantown Youth Basketball Association offers a Rookie Basketball Program, a Youth Basketball Program, coaching, skills development, and tournament play, including participation in the Arrowhead League and Tournament Teams. The Rookie Basketball Program is for boys and girls in Grade 1 and Grade 2 and takes place on Saturdays, teaching basic basketball rules and fundamentals. The Youth Basketball Program is for boys and girls in grades 3–8 and includes coaching, skills development, and tournament play in both local and highly competitive tournaments.

• Schedule: Rookie Basketball on Saturdays; Arrowhead League teams practice 2 nights per week with 5–6 Saturday tournaments per season; Tournament Teams practice 2–3 nights per week with seven or more tournaments per season, which may be on Saturdays or over a full weekend with an overnight stay

Tournament Teams are described as competitive teams with more travel, with tournaments that can be further into Wisconsin, in Northern Minnesota, or in the Twin Cities, and may involve a full weekend with an overnight stay.
