Lakeville Gymnastics is described as a comprehensive three-component program designed to serve all levels from beginners to high school athletes, with Community Education classes focusing on foundational and intermediate levels. Mat Rats is identified as the first step toward a competitive Xcel gymnastics program, and Mat Rats 1 is an invite-only pre-team where students work closely with coaches on strength, flexibility, shaping, and self-confidence. The Sensory Playground is a gymnastics program specialized for children with learning and sensory disabilities, offering near full body input in a free play environment similar to Open Gym but held at a separate time with fewer distractions, and a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult is required to attend at no fee while only registered students participate.

Open Gym is described as a fun alternative to a traditional class where students are encouraged to play and explore the gym with a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult. Private Gymnastics Lessons involve students working one on one with a lead gymnastics coach, and if the gymnast is new, the coach performs an evaluation for the first class, with students asked to bring a past session’s testing sheet if available; Private Lessons will not be offered this winter.

Lakeville Gymnastics is part of the Lakeville Area Community Education program, which was initiated in 1972 and has a mission to provide learning opportunities and resources for the community to develop life-long skills. The broader Community Education leadership team includes roles such as Director of Community Education, Administrative Assistant, finance and registration staff, enrichment and aquatics coordinators, early childhood education leadership, and marketing staff. Lakeville Gymnastics partners with the Lakeville Booster Club and high school programs to provide continuity in skill development and clear paths for progression.
